Birds in flight, singing songs to each other,
Frogs croak their message, regardless of the weather.
Butterflies flitter and flutter about,
Grasshoppers jumping amongst plants and the ground.
Trees sprout leaves and flowers from their buds,
Rains pour down, threatening floods.
The winds shift about, spreading seeds and fresh air,
Spiders build webs to catch dinner in their snare.
Spring brings new life after winter’s cold spell
We revel in the sights, the sounds, and the smell.
Summer will follow with the suns fierce swelter,
The storms it produces require safe shelter.
Ballgames are played, summer travels proceed,
School sessions are over, children play with such glee.
Summer brings pleasures of vacations and play,
Family gatherings, grills firing, celebrations of long days.
Soon Autumn will commence, and the colors emerge
The winds start to shift, and the leaf piles surge.
Sweatshirt weather will arrive, as we take in the sights,
The beauty of nature as the leaves take flight,
From the trees that once held them, producing bright green
Now colorful as they die and leave such a scene.
We know what is coming and what to expect
From old man Winter, who gets no respect.
We grumble at the cold, yet we marvel at the snow
The white of the winter as the fireplace glows.
Each season will pass in their allotment of time
Much like our bodies, with a built-in deadline.
Let us enjoy each day, regardless the season.
Let us live our lives with purpose and reason.

lovely poem, I love the changes of the seasons, both in the weather and in life ❤️

I read this to my mom, we shared the beauty of these words together. Let us enjoy each day of our lives, with those we love, with purpose and reason in all seasons.
