Memories captured as time flies by,
years roll past in the blink of an eye.
Birthdays, anniversaries, vacations and such,
the times we remember will mean so much
to our aging brains as we try to recall
the times in our lives; good, bad, and all.
Some marry, have children and watch family grow,
others stay single and go with the flow.
Success in life depends on intent,
I must make up my mind to be content
with what I have and how I live,
with my gifts in life and what I give.
I am wonderfully created and fearfully made,
I should be bold and courageous and be not afraid.
The time will come to look back at my life;
did I love and share joy or instead cause strife
to those in my circle, who crossed my path;
did my actions cause happiness or an aftermath?
I choose life and joy, I choose Christ the Son.
At the end of my life, may I hear “Well done”.

Thanks for sharing this crucial reminder. It’s about living and walking the path with Christ, loving and giving. It’s hard to prioritize sometimes working for earthly possessions over connection, but we eventually get it right.
