I’m bored, I’m bored, what should I do?
I’m bored, I’m bored, I could skip to my Lou.
I could sing a new song, I could dance a little jig,
I could draw something small; I could dream something big.
I could text an old friend I haven’t talked to in years,
I could pick up the phone and talk off their ears.
I could take a long walk, enjoying nature at its best,
I could read a good book and put my feet up to rest.
I could clean up my closet that spills out at my feet,
I could continue to my dresser making it all nice and neat.
I could take out my crayons, and color inside the lines,
I could pull out my photos and reminisce on old times.
I could try a new recipe and share it with friends,
I could watch an old movie, though I know how it ends.
I could go to the shelter and help the animals in need,
I could learn about gardening and plant a few seeds.
I could learn a new language, a new hobby, or skill,
I could skip rocks in the pond, watching ripples til they’re still.
I could go to the library, a theater, or café,
I could watch the sunset until the last light of day.
I could count all my blessings and be thankful for each,
I could write them all down and put them far out of reach,
Until the next time I say “Oh, what should I do,”
There are so many choices, and the hours are few.
