Have you had fun this week?

What will you do this week that is fun? What will you do to take yourself, slightly, outside of your comfort zone?  I want to challenge everyone to make a concerted effort to do something that makes you smile everyday or at least 3 times a week. Try to make one of these something that takes you a little out of your comfort zone.  Please share, below, to give some fun ideas of what you are doing.

Here are some simple ideas:

  1. Take a walk as the sun is coming up or going down; leave your phone on silent and just soak in the beauty.
  2. Hop on a swing; my husband just built me a simple swing to enjoy. There is just something freeing about getting on a swing and pumping your legs to go as high as you can.
  3. Introduce yourself to someone in your neighborhood that you haven’t met yet. Tip: this is really easy if they are out walking their dog. Now you get 2 fun things in one: you meet someone new AND you get to meet and pet a dog. You’ve now made 2 friends.
  4. Take a hike on a new trail. If you don’t live somewhere accessible to trails, try out a new park.  Hint: while at the park, it is a good time to try #2 on this list.
  5. Do something absolutely silly; hopscotch, jumprope, climb a tree (be careful), sing out loud, in your car, really loud, with the windows down. You will get lots of stares.
  6. Tell a silly joke; the cornier the better.

What silly things have you done? What did you do to step out of your comfort zone?

Going to a Family Fair that a local church is hosting tonight. As a shy introvert being around a lot of people and meeting new people is outside of my comfort zone.
I’m also going to go tour and check out some local gyms to meet new people.

    1. I hope you enjoyed you fun and fellowship, Kate. It can be tough for introverted people to get out there and socialize; you have so much to offer, I am glad you work through it.
